The Joint Steering Committee will be responsible for the network’s strategic decisions, providing guidance for the Network Coordination’s actions. It will be composed of at least nine members, distributed as follows:
(a) 1 representative from FUNCAP, as the original funding agency of the Network;
(b) 1 General Coordinator of the Network;
(c) 2 Associate Coordinators of the Network;
(d) 5 representatives from the participating R&D institutions (ICTs), in proportion to the number of their members involved in the Network. These representatives must have been affiliated with the Network for at least two years and be nominated by the legal representative of each institution. During the first two years, these representatives will be nominated as follows: UFC (2 representatives), UECE (1 representative), IFCE (1 representative), and UNIFOR (1 representative);
(e) 1 representative from each company (or institution) that has directly contributed financial resources to the Network in amounts exceeding R$ 1,000,000.00 over the past two years, nominated by their legal representatives. Initially, the business sector will be represented by a nominee from FIEC.
